The election of the editor of GFF has now been completed and the ballot papers have been counted. Of the 50 votes received, 48 answered yes and 2 abstained. Thus, we are pleased to announce that Magnus Hellqvist has been elected new editor. He will take office from the turn of the year.
Magnus is a Quaternary geologist and defended his dissertation in this subject in 1999 at Uppsala University. He has since worked at SGU and at Uppsala University, Dalarna University and the University of Gothenburg. For almost two years, he has been employed by the consulting company Geoveta AB, where he works with e.g. geology, environment, geotechnics, risk analysis and soil and water issues.
