GFF

GFF is the Geological Society’s scientific journal and it is published with four issues per year. Since 2009, the publication is in collaboration with the English publisher Taylor & Francis Journals.

GFF publishes articles throughout the geological field, including mineralogy, petrology, tectonics, geomorphology, stratigraphy, sedimentology, palaeontology and quaternary geology. The journal was founded in 1872 under the name Geologiska Föreningens i Stockholm Förhandlingar. This name was retained until 1993 when the magazine formally changed its name to GFF (from volume 116), its nickname since 1963 and an acronym of the original name.

Manuscripts

GFF publishes articles, notes and letters to the editor, the latter two with express publishing in coming issues. Overview articles and thematic issues about recent results are welcome and may be suggested to the editor. There is an international editorial board and all manuscripts go through the examination procedure. No page fees are charged.

Manuscripts for GFF are registered online via Taylor & Francis manuscript central where you can also follow the manuscript’s path from examination to publication.

Further information on how to submit grants, instructions to authors, who are included in the editorial board and indexing can be found at Taylor & Francis Journals.
