Iceland has chosen to postpone the Nordic Geological Wintermeeting, NGWM22, until May 11–13 2022 due to the pandemic.
Since the conference is held in the spring instead of during wintertime, this creates an opportunity to arrange extra excursions. They cannot, however, promise volcanic eruptions in May, but a trip to Fagradalsfjall is planned.
